Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a 14-week temporary assignment. Night shifts are 12 hours long and the role requires working every other weekend.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of recent ED bedside experience and holds RN licensure for Virginia; TNCC, ACLS, and BLS are required, NIHSS preferred. Epic EMR experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent bedside emergency department nursing experience.
• Current RN license eligible to practice in Virginia.
• TNCC, ACLS, and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process and critical thinking.
• Perform assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
• Educate patients and families and coordinate care across disciplines.
