Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking a Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to influence learner growth and competency within CT’s leading hospital system. You will partner with ED leadership to standardize policy, guide education, and support onboarding for new colleagues.

Requires a CT nursing license, a Bachelor’s in Nursing, and 3+ years in acute care with teaching experience preferred. On-site role with strong growth in education and leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; enrollment in a Master’s program with completion within two years of hire date.
• One degree must be in Nursing; demonstrated clinical competence in areas of assignment.
• Minimum 3 years of acute care experience; 1 year of teaching or nursing professional development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Influences professional role competence and growth of learners within Nursing Professional Development practice.
• Collaborates with Emergency Department nursing leadership to foster competency management, education, policy standardization and onboarding.
• Promotes alignment of regional NPD and practice excellence with Hartford HealthCare system.
• Supports onboarding and orientation of new Hartford HealthCare colleagues.
