Hartford Hospital in Connecticut is seeking a Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner. This RN will influence learner competence and growth within the NPD framework, collaborating with ED nursing leadership to manage competency, education, policy standardization, and onboarding of new Hartford HealthCare colleagues.

The role supports the ED’s high-acuity patient care, contributes to system-wide practice excellence, and aligns with Hartford HealthCare’s commitment to education,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; one degree must be in Nursing and a Master’s program with completion within two years of hire.
• Minimum 3 years of recent acute care nursing experience; one year of teaching experience, nursing professional development and/or specialty area preferred.
• Current Connecticut nursing license. BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Influence professional role competence and growth of learners within Nursing Professional Development (NPD) practice.
• Collaborate with Emergency Department nursing leadership to foster competency management, education, policy standardization, and onboarding of Hartford HealthCare colleagues.
