NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking a Nurse Aide II for the Emergency Department on a part-time day shift (7 am–7 pm) with alternate weekends. Under supervision of the registered nurse, you will assist the nursing and medical staff to provide care, comfort, and safety for patients.

Duties include patient transport, preparing equipment, and participating in patient orientation. You will perform tasks such as vital signs, hygiene, mobility support, specimen handling, and maintaining a clean

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• EMT certification or nursing student status preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Observes patient and relays information to nursing staff.
• Relays changes in patient condition to nurse promptly.
• Assists with activities of daily living: feeding, hygiene, mobility.
• Provides direct basic patient care under RN supervision (vital signs, baths, catheter care).
• Turns and positions patients to maintain skin integrity under RN direction.
• Assists with patient nourishment and intake documentation.
• Maintains patient flow and prepares examination areas.
• Responds to emergencies under RN direction, including CPR as needed.
• Ensures comfort measures and communicates patient needs to staff.
• Adheres to infection control and universal precautions.
