NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk is seeking a Nurse Aide II for the Emergency Department. This full-time night shift (7PM–7AM) with alternating weekends supports the nursing and medical staff by performing established procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety.

The role requires working under a registered nurse to prepare equipment and transport patients. You will maintain clean care areas, participate in orientation of new staff, and respond to emergencies under RN guidance, including CPR.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• EMT certificate or nursing student status accepted.
• First aid training required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsabilidades

• Observes patient and relays changes to nursing staff.
• Assists with activities of daily living and personal hygiene.
• Provides direct nursing care including vital signs and baths.
• Turns and positions patient to maintain skin integrity.
• Documents intake and specimen administration as required.
• Responds to emergencies under RN direction, including CPR.
• Maintains clean patient care areas and stocks supplies.
• Supports patient comfort and safety and coordinates care.
• Assists with patient flow into examination areas.
