NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking a Nurse Aide II for the Emergency Department on a full-time night shift (7 PM–7 AM) with alternating weekends. Under RN direction, you will support nursing and medical staff, maintain patient care areas, and prepare equipment for procedures.

You will also participate in orientation for new staff and contribute to a safe, respectful patient environment. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, BLS (AHA) certification, and EMT certification or

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification (AHA only) and first aid training.
• EMT certificate or prior hospital/sub-acute experience or be a nursing student.

Responsabilidades

• Observe patients and relay changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living and transportation.
• Perform direct nursing care including vitals, baths, catheter care and enemas as directed.
• Document patient intake and ensure proper identification bracelets.
