Job summary

This full-time night shift role supports patient care across ED functions, coordinating with the nursing team to monitor patients, perform routine tasks, and ensure safety and comfort.

You will assist with vital signs, daily living activities, and basic nursing tasks under RN supervision, while maintaining documentation and infection-control standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification (AHA only) and first aid training.
• EMT certificate or nursing student status or hospital/sub-acute experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interactions with patients and families.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients and relay changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Provide direct nursing support under RN supervision (vital signs, baths, catheter care).
• Assist with patient movement and positioning to protect skin integrity.
• Document intake, nourishment, and specimen labeling per procedure.
• Respond to emergencies, perform CPR under RN direction as needed.
• Ensure patient safety and proper infection control practices.
