The position requires licensure, a PharmD or BS degree with PGY-1/PGY-2 training, and certification or experience with hospital pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• Current state Registered Pharmacist License.
• B.S. degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
• Completion of postgraduate clinical training (PGY-1) or > 3 years of qualifying experience required.
• Postgraduate clinical training PGY-2 preferred.
• Board certification in a Board of Pharmacy Specialties clinical specialty preferred.
• BLS Required
• ACLS Preferred
• Experience in hospital pharmacy operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital.
• Conducts 50% or more time in direct patient care activities including rounding, patient counseling, or participation in patient care committees.
