Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Emergency Services Care Assistant/Unit Secretary for the Emergency Department in Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time role offers 36 hours weekly with 7pm–3am shifts and every other weekend, under RN supervision to assist in patient care.

The position requires a high school diploma, CPR certification, and relevant credentials (CNA, Paramedic, nursing student with clinical, EMT with experience, or ED Technician with experience).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Certifications: CNA, Paramedic, nursing student with six months clinical, EMT with at least one year field experience, or ED Technician with two years in a similar institution.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Emergency Department and Treatment Center Nursing and Medical staff in delivering patient care.
• Under RN supervision, provide direct patient care and perform technical procedures not governed by licensure.
• May direct unit environmental aide for supply availability and perform clerical, stocking, and cleaning tasks as required.
