Job summary

Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking an Emergency Services Care Assistant/Unit Secretary for the Emergency Department. This full-time position runs 7pm–3am with every other weekend, 36 hours per week, in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Under RN supervision, you will provide direct patient care and assist nursing staff, with additional clerical and supply coordination duties as needed. CPR certification required.

Qualifications

• Education: completion of four years of high school.
• Certifications: CNA, Paramedic, nursing student with six months clinical, EMT with at least one year field experience; ED Technicians with two years in a comparable institution.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Emergency Department and Treatment Center Nursing and Medical staff in patient care.
• Under RN supervision, provide direct patient care and perform technical procedures not governed by licensure.
• Assist in directing unit environmental aide, ensure supply availability, and perform clerical, stocking, and cleaning tasks as required.

Education

Certified Nursing Assistant

Paramedic

Nursing student with six months clinical

Certified EMT with at least one year field experience

Emergency Department Technician with two years in a comparable institution
