Job summary

Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights, IL seeks an Emergency Services Care Assistant/Unit Secretary for the ED. This Full Time role is 36 hours weekly, 7pm–3am, with every other weekend. The position supports nursing staff and patient care in a Magnet‑recognized system with multiple facilities.

Qualifications include high school diploma, CPR certification, and relevant certifications such as CNA, Paramedic, EMT, or ED tech with experience. Travel is not required.

Qualifications

Nursing/clinical care certifications required.
Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Assist and support the Emergency Department and Treatment Center Nursing and Medical staff in patient care.
Under RN supervision, provide direct patient care and perform procedures not governed by licensure.
May assist in directing unit staff for supply, clerical, stocking, and cleaning tasks.

Education

Certified Nursing Assistant

Paramedic

Nursing student with clinical experience (6 months)

EMT with at least 1 year field experience

Emergency Department Technician with 2+ years in a comparable institution
