Job summary

MaineHealth seeks an Emergency Department Technician II at Franklin Hospital to support the health care team with patient care tasks. After IV course completion, you may perform IV insertions under supervision.

Requires CNA or EMT-B/EMT-A or CMA program completion and current BLS (or within 30 days). Basic computer skills and medical terminology are preferred; phlebotomy and EKG training are a plus.

  • Phlebotomy and EKG training preferred.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant OR completion of a National Registry EMT-B or EMT-A course, OR completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with 160 hours of clinical experience required.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required or EMT-B or EMT-A or Certified Medical Assistant. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience: N/A.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  • Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology. Training in phlebotomy and performing EKG’s.

The pay range for this position is $20.27to $24.36 per hour.
