Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to be a key member of the ED team, supporting nurses and physicians in delivering care. The role involves direct patient care, vital signs, and ensuring a safe, clean environment in a high-volume emergency department.

You will work under RN supervision, participate in patient flow, and assist with a variety of clinical and support tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification and CPR current or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to pass clinical competency testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated patient care interventions in the ED (e.g., vital signs, bathing, feeding, hygiene, wound care).
• Maintain a safe, clean ED environment and assist with inventory and room readiness.
• Support efficient ED operations and contribute to quality patient outcomes.
