Baystate Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) to join the ED team at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. The role supports safe, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment and collaborates with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include vital signs, phlebotomy, and documentation in the EMR; 12-hour day shifts, full-time, with weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• GED or HiSET required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• EMT-Basic, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certifications listed in job materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate patient care and monitor vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, and specimen collection.
• Assist RNs and providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Document care and testing accurately in the EMR.
• Support ED operations and patient safety.
