Job summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to join our Level 1 trauma ED in Lebanon, NH. You will provide patient care and operational support on a rotating 7a–7p and 7p–7a schedule, under RN supervision, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, vital signs, EKGs, specimen collection, equipment restocking, and EMR management while ensuring safety and quality care for diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a chaotic environment.
• Demonstrates customer service skills and keyboarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care activities under RN supervision including ADLs, vital signs, EKGs, specimen collection and recording results.
• Applies splints and immobilizers, removes IVs after competencies.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and restocks rooms and equipment.
• Assists visitors and family, mentors new staff.
• Monitors patients at risk or in restraints, manages communications and EMR documentation.
• Performs clerical duties and prioritizes tasks during high-stress periods.
