The role assists physicians and nurses in care plans for emergency patients, performs procedures under supervision, and completes required EMT-B certification or equivalent plus clinical experience. Sentara offers a competitive base pay from $20.07 to $29.88 per hour, with health, retirement, and education benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• EMT-B certification with state or national certification at time of hire, or equivalent.
• Clinical program student (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, PT) with at least one semester completed.
• Previous clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians, advanced practitioners, or nurses in implementing care plans for emergency/minor emergency patients.
• Performs patient procedures and treatments under supervision.
• De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire for all incumbents.
