Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Part-Time Emergency Department Technician to support care teams during the night shift. You will assist physicians, advanced practitioners, and nurses with emergency and minor emergency care plans.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, EMT-B certification (or Military Hospital Corps School or clinical program participation), and prior clinical experience. BLS must be completed within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire, or Military Hospital Corps School or clinical program enrollment.
• Previous clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, advanced practitioners, or nurses in implementing plans of care for emergency and minor emergency patients.
• Perform patient procedures and treatments under supervision.
• Support de-escalation and physical intervention as trained within 15 days of hire.
