Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Emergency Department is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support physicians and nurses in delivering care for emergency and minor emergency patients. Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior clinical experience required.
• EMT-B certification or equivalent clinical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, advanced practitioners, or nurses in planning and delivering care for emergency/minor emergency patients.
• Perform patient procedures and treatments under supervision.
• Complete de-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire; obtain BLS certification within 90 days.
