Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Emergency Department in Norfolk, VA is seeking an ED Tech for part-time evening coverage (11AM-11PM), 24 hours per week. You will assist clinicians in implementing care plans and perform patient procedures under supervision.

Requirements include high school diploma, EMT-B or equivalent, and prior clinical experience. BLS within 90 days. Sentara offers comprehensive benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire or equivalent.
• Prior clinical experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care for emergency/minor emergency care patients.
• Performs patient procedures and treatments under supervision.
• Complete de-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.
• Obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
