Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Technician 2 to support the ED team. This role requires either EMT-B/EMT-A certification or LNA licensure, with direct and indirect patient care under RN or Paramedic supervision.

Responsibilities include responding to requests for patient care, assisting with IVs and medications as delegated, collecting specimens, maintaining supplies, and serving as a preceptor for new staff.

Qualifications

• EMT-B/EMT-A or LNA certification is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Respond to RN-delegated requests for patient care assistance.
• Maintain skills to perform patient care tasks including IV catheter insertion as delegated by RN.
• Maintain ability to administer medications as delegated by RN.
• Collect and process laboratory specimens.
• Maintain department supplies and equipment.
• Assist with clerical duties as needed.
• Serve as a preceptor for new employees.
