Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Technician 2 to assist in the Emergency Department under RN or Paramedic supervision. The role supports patients, manages supplies, and collaborates with the care team to meet department standards.

The position requires EMT-B or EMT-A certification, LNA licensure, and BLS, with at least one year of prior EMT or LNA experience. The ED Tech II reports through the Nurse Manager and Charge Nurse.

Qualifications

• EMT-B or EMT-A certification required.
• LNA licensure preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for patient care assistance as delegated by the RN.
• Maintain skills to perform patient care tasks, including IV catheter insertion and medication administration, as delegated by the RN.
• Maintain skills to administer medications as delegated by the RN.
• Collect and process laboratory specimens.
• Maintain department supplies and equipment.
• Assist with clerical duties.
• Serve as a preceptor for new employees.
