Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Technician 2 to provide direct and indirect patient care under RN or Paramedic supervision in the Emergency Department. The ED Tech II supports patient care, environmental and supply management as part of the care team.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, EMT-B/EMT-A or LNA certification, Basic Life Support, and at least one year of prior EMT or LNA experience. Reports to the Nurse Manager with Charge Nurse oversight.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• EMT-B, EMT-A or LNA certification is required.
• BLS - American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient care requests as delegated by the RN.
• Maintain skills for IV insertion and medication administration as directed.
• Administer medications as delegated by the RN.
• Collect and process laboratory specimens.
• Maintain department supplies and equipment.
• Assist with clerical duties.
• Perform job-specific duties and other tasks as assigned.
• Serve as a preceptor for new employees.
