Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Technician II to provide direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse. You will support patients, manage environmental and supply tasks, and work as part of the patient care team reporting to the Manager with shift supervision by the Charge Nurse.

Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED, with EMT/Advanced EMT and BLS certifications. Prior direct patient care experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• EMT or Advanced EMT certifications with BLS required.
• Previous direct patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for patient care assistance as delegated by the RN.
• Maintain skill level to perform patient care tasks, including IV catheter insertion and med administration, as delegated by RN.
• Maintain skill level to administer medications as delegated by RN.
• Collect and process laboratory specimens.
• Maintain department supplies and equipment.
• Assist with clerical duties.
• Serve as a preceptor for new employees.
