Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking an ED Tech II to provide direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse. The role supports environmental and supply management within the patient care team and reports to the Nurse Manager with daily supervision by the Chief Tech and Charge Nurse.

The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma or GED, and certifications including BLS, EMT-Advanced, and EMT-Basic, with prior direct patient care experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Direct patient care experience preferred.
• Ability to assist with patient care tasks and support RN as directed.

Responsibilities

• Responds to requests for patient care assistance as delegated by the RN.
• Maintains skill level to perform patient care tasks, including IV catheter insertion and medication administration as delegated by the RN.
• Maintains skill level to administer medications as delegated by the RN.
• Collects and processes laboratory specimens.
• Maintains department supplies and equipment.
• Assists with clerical duties.
• Performs job specific requirements and other duties as assigned.
• Serves as a preceptor for new employees.

Certification, Registration & Licensure

Basic Life Support (BLS).

Emergency Medical Technician Advanced (EMT-Advanced).

Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-Basic).

Experience

Previous direct patient care experience strongly preferred.
