Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, one year of caregiving experience, and BLS certification, with licensing/CEVO and Mandt training completed within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year experience in direct patient caregiving roles preferred.
• Certification as PCA/CNA preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support required.
• Class E Missouri driving license within 90 days of hire as applicable.
• CEVO certification completed within 90 days of hire or as certification classes allow.
• Mandt training course.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care activities including vital signs, 12-lead EKGs, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, activities of daily living, wound care, and assisting with exams and procedures.
• Performs indirect patient care activities such as transportation, monitoring setup, answering call lights, stocking, and cleaning.
• May function as ED Lead Tech to facilitate communication and task completion.
• Communicates effectively with patients, visitors and staff to reduce barriers and de-escalate conflicts.
• Documents all pertinent information into the patient’s medical record and electronic health record timely and professionally.
