Job summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to provide patient care and operational support in the ED under the supervision of the Nurse Manager. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and efficient care in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years of acute hospital experience preferred, and BLS. Phlebotomy and 12-lead EKG experience are also preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of experience in an acute hospital setting, ambulance services or ambulatory care preferred
• Phlebotomy experience preferred
• 12-lead EKG experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care activities under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, including activities of daily living (ADL)
• Obtain clinical data including vital signs and EKGs
• Utilize universal precautions and collect specimens
• Perform point of care testing and record results in the medical record
