Job summary

Riverside Health System is seeking an Emergency Technician to assist physicians and RNs in delivering patient care in the Emergency Department. You will perform EKGs, IVs, phlebotomy, and monitor patient status under supervision of RN, Charge Nurse, and ED Physician.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, EMT training (preferred), and 1 year EMT experience (PRN). Upon hire, EMT and BLS/CPR certifications are required, with ACLS/PALS recommended.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required); EMT training preferred.
• Experience: 1 year Emergency Technician experience (PRN status) (Required).
• Certifications: EMT and BLS/CPR required upon hire; ACLS/PALS recommended.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates assessment ability by applying standards of practice across patient populations.
• Recognizes and responds to variances in patient care and notifies physician/team (SBAR).
• Completes clinical documentation per RHS standards.
• Facilitates patient throughput and responds to patient needs promptly.
• Maintains a safe environment and supports regulatory requirements.
• Supports cost containment and participates in training of team members.
