Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous patient care experience.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred CNA or EMT-B certification.
• Phlebotomy and ECG skills may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides wound care.
• Assists with splinting and orthopedic devices.
• Performs ECGs and phlebotomy.
• Labels and processes specimens according to protocols.
• Collects and records intake and output.
• Transports patients, specimens, equipment and supplies.
• Documents care on medical records.
• Performs CPR and morgue care.
• Maintains clean, safe patient rooms and environment.
• Takes vital signs and monitors patient status.
• Assists with direct patient care and hygiene.
