Northwestern Medicine in Illinois is seeking a Patient Care Technician-Phlebotomist for the Emergency Department night shift. You will support the RN in the holding area, perform phlebotomy, vital signs, glucometer tests, and EKGs while ensuring patient safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Preferred qualification candidate is an EMT-B or CNA with previous hospital-based patient care experience.
• Licensure: CNA, CMA, EMT-B, Paramedic Cert or nursing student with at least two clinical rotations completed.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates I-CARE values in daily work and interactions.
• Provides direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision in the ED holding area.
• Performs phlebotomy, specimen collection, glucometer testing, and 12-lead EKG.
• Assists with patient admission, ambulation, transfers and discharge planning.
• Maintains patient safety, accurate documentation, and effective communication with the care team.
