Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; technical training as Nursing Assistant or EMT preferred.

• Basic ability to read, write and perform basic four-function math.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills; strong interpersonal skills.
• One to three years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and ADLs under RN supervision.
• Take and report vital signs and document in the EHR.
• Collect specimens and perform intake/output measurements.
• Assist with wound care, mobility, and patient positioning.
• Assist in phlebotomy and point-of-care testing under supervision.
• Support infection control and safety practices in the ED.
