Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Milton is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to join a fast‑paced, collaborative ED. You’ll support nurses and physicians, perform EKGs, phlebotomy, wound care, specimen collection, and assist with patient activities of daily living in a community hospital setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and comfort with computerized systems; EMT/MA training and 1–3 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association is required.
• Experience with computer systems and web-based applications, plus Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes and completes tasks delegated by nurses and physicians in a fast-paced ED.
• Performs EKGs, phlebotomy, wound care, splinting, crutch walking, and daily living activities.
• Performs phlebotomy and specimen collection and documents results in the medical record.
• Maintains supplies and ensures equipment is cleaned and ready for the next patient.
