St. Tammany Health System is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for per diem day shift in Covington, LA. The ED Tech assists nursing staff with routine care, performs specialized technical skills, and reports any unusual findings while maintaining patient safety.

Qualified candidates typically hold CNA or EMT-Basic experience with a current BLS certification, and a high school diploma or GED. Onboarding and orientation will follow employment.

Formación

• High School graduate or equivalent (i.e. GED) preferred.
• One year CNA experience in acute care OR one year EMT-Basic experience OR one year as Patient Care Technician preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an ILCOR-approved provider; obtain within 3 months if not certified at hire.

Responsabilidades

• Assist nursing staff with routine care and specialized technical tasks.
• Report any unusual incidents or findings and maintain patient safety.
• Provide bedside care to a designated group of patients during the shift.
