Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA is seeking an RN staff member for the Emergency Services department on a part-time, day-shift schedule (7am–7pm). The role includes supervising licensed personnel and delivering care using the nursing process.

Ideal candidates will have a current Louisiana RN license, BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications (ALS/PALS within 6 months). One year of ED experience preferred; strong physical endurance for a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program.
• Current LA RN licensure.
• Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications (ALS/PALS within 6 months of hire) through recognized courses.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a group of patients during a designated time frame and provide care via nursing process and team collaboration.
• Supervises activities of LPNs, Unit Assistants, Monitor Technicians, CNAs, Nurse Technicians, unit clerks and Paramedic technicians.
• Adheres to hospital policies and participates in delivering high-quality emergency care.
