Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA is seeking an RN Staff Per Diem for Emergency Services (Day Shift). This position supports a group of patients during a designated time frame and leads licensed and auxiliary staff to deliver high-quality care. Per diem, part-time, with a 7am-7pm shift.

The role requires an RN license in Louisiana, board certification in nursing, and current BLS, ALS, and PALS credentials (ALS/PALS within 6 months). Emergency Department experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program.
• Current LA RN licensure.
• Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications (ALS/PALS within 6 months of hire) through ILCOR providers.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a group of patients during a designated time frame and provide care via the nursing process and collaboration with the health care team.
• Supervises the activities of LPNs, Unit Assistants, Monitor Technicians, CNAs, Nurse Technicians, unit clerks and Paramedic technicians.
• Maintain safety and comfort of patients while ensuring quality care and adherence to policies.
