Job summary

Northern Nevada Health System's Sierra Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a part-time position with a $7,500 sign-on bonus. The role includes direct patient care, triage, and clinical leadership duties in a busy ED.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license in the state, with BCLS, ACLS and PALS (within set timeframes). ENPC/TNCC optional; benefits are provided for part-time staff.

Qualifications

• 2 years ED experience required
• Current RN license within the state of practice
• Current BCLS Certification
• ACLS Certified within six (6) months of hire
• PALS within six (6) months of hire
• ENPC and TNCC optional

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes and adjusts nursing care to ensure optimal patient care.
• Performs head-to-toe assessments and reassessments for pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients.
• Assesses and reassesses pain; educates patient and family on pain management.
• Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care and assigns triage categories.
