Job summary

Northern Nevada Health System is seeking a part-time Emergency Department Registered Nurse for North Valleys to join a 24-hour open ER. The role includes direct patient care, triage, and collaboration with ED physicians, with a focus on timely, effective nursing interventions.

Requirements include NV RN license, 2–3 years ED or CC experience, EMS background, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications within specified timelines. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Current NV RN License
• Two to three years ED experience preferred or CC experience
• EMS background experience
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification within 6 months of hire
• PALS Certification within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and evaluate nursing outcomes.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments for patients across age groups.
• Use triage processes to ensure timely, appropriate care and assign categories.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret results.
• Educate patients and families on pain management and relief strategies
