Saint Joseph Hospital - Elgin is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process. You will provide direct patient care within scope of practice and guide patient and family teaching while supervising other nursing staff.

You will communicate changes in patient condition to the physician, respond quickly to changes, and uphold EMTALA and patient privacy standards. Evening shift with competitive Total Rewards package and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certificate on hire and maintained.
• ALS certificate within 30 days and maintained.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 60 days and maintained.
• CEN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsabilités

• Deliver safe patient care using assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct patient/family teaching and supervise other nurses.
• Communicate patient condition changes to physician with test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and treatment response.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality; EMTALA compliance.
