Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This night-shift role (7p-7a) is full-time with rotating weekends and holidays. You will deliver direct patient care in Telemetry, coordinate the nursing process, and educate patients and families.

Required: RN license, BLS/ALS/PALS (or ENPC) within 60 days of hire, with CEN and BSN preferred. ECRN/MICN and TNCC are additional assets.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ALS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC 60 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process in Telemetry.
• Direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of nursing personnel.
• Communicates changes in patient condition to physicians with test results and symptoms.
