Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Services ED. This full-time day shift (7a-7p) includes rotating weekends and holidays in a telemetry-enabled ED.

The RN delivers direct patient care, coordinates the nursing process, and collaborates with physicians to monitor patient status. Qualifications include an active RN license, BLS, ALS, PALS or ENPC, with CEN/BSN preferred; ECRN/MICN within 12 months, and trauma

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certification on hire and maintained.
• ALS and PALS or ENPC certifications within required timeframes.
• CEN certification preferred; BSN preferred.
• ECRN or MICN cert within 12 months of hire.
• TNCC certification preferred for trauma designation if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process.
• Direct patient and family teaching while guiding nursing staff in telemetry care.
• Communicate patient status changes with the physician and respond swiftly to changes in condition.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
