Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required within 3 years of hire.
• Current NJ RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; IV Certification within first year.
• Non-violent Crisis Intervention certification within 3 months of hire.
• Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provides considerate respectful care focused upon the patient's individual needs to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Affirms the patient's right to make decisions regarding medical care.
• Documents results of patient assessment and care in the medical record.
• Administers medication following hospital policies and manufacturer instructions.
• Recognizes changes in patient condition and takes appropriate actions.
• Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Provides education to patients and families and mentors new staff.
