Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. The role features 3 twelve-hour day shifts weekly (7:00 am–7:30 pm) with strong teamwork and patient‑centered care.

The RN will perform comprehensive assessments, administer evidence-based treatments, document in EPIC, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, coordinated care. A NJ RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and ED experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license
• BLS, ACLS & PALS certifications
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• At least 1 year ED/acute care experience
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care
• Collaborate with physicians and providers for timely care decisions
• Educate patients and families for next steps in care
• Document accurately in the EMR for continuity and safety
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and drive smooth transitions
• Support a collaborative team culture and ongoing professional growth
• Pursue continuing education and ladder opportunities
