Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to provide comprehensive nursing care across the continuum. The RN will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include delegating tasks to LPNs and UAPs, evaluating patient responses to interventions, and participating in process improvements to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency in a 24/7 department.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or current RN license in good standing with a multi-state compact state.
• BLS certification.
• BSN required within 5 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Delegate tasks to LPNs and UAPs per Ohio Nurse Practice Act and departmental policies.
• Provide professional nursing care and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to revise care plans.
• Lead process improvement activities to improve clinical quality, patient satisfaction, and efficiency.
• Maintain safety, quality, and efficiency as part of a High Reliability Organization (HRO) framework.
