Penn Medicine is seeking an ED Registration Specialist for Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA. This part-time role (28 hours/week) handles patient arrival, registration, insurance verification, and visitor management within a high-volume Emergency Department.

Qualifications

• One year of clerical, customer service, or administrative support experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams.
• Ability to perform basic keyboarding and office tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Epic or EMR systems preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform complete patient arrival, registration, insurance verification, and visitor management in the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient experience and care flow.
• Verify demographics, emergency contacts, guarantor information, and insurance coverage.
• Manage patient paging and front desk communications; handle patient concerns professionally.
• Support regulatory and compliance needs, including EMTALA-related duties and documentation.
