Job summary

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department. The ED treats 300 to 400 patients daily and is a Level I-accredited Trauma Center, recently expanded to 95 beds.

We offer full-time scheduling (36 hours per week) with days from 7am to 7pm, on-call requirements, and rotating weekends and holidays. The Clinical Nurse 2 collaborates with the care team to deliver safe, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Pennsylvania required.
• BSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Completion of Nurse Residency Program or >15 months of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process with accountability for assigned patients.
• Perform patient assessments, focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive functions.
• Educate patients about healthy practices and treatment modalities.
• Lead and collaborate with the interprofessional health care team to coordinate care.
