Job summary

Penn Medicine in New Jersey is seeking an ED and Inpatient Patient Access Associate to manage computerized patient registration in the Emergency Department and Admissions areas. Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience with hospital or physician office registration preferred.
• Ability to verify demographics, insurance information and ensure accurate payments.

Responsibilities

• Greets patient and initiates registration in the ADT system to create visits.
• Verify eligibility and obtain benefits; ensure pre-certification and referrals when required.
• Collect Time of Service payments and direct patients to financial counselors as needed.
• Utilize WOW or handheld devices for bedside registration.
• Support patient experience and safety in a fast-paced emergency and admission setting.
