Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Paramedic for the Emergency Department (FT Nights, 7pm–7am). You will be part of an interdisciplinary team delivering high-quality patient care under the direction of physicians and RNs.

Required credentials include Georgia paramedic license, national registry, ACLS/BLS/PALS, and 2+ years of field or hospital paramedic experience. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to support ED operations.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited paramedic program and clinical hours.
• Paramedic license and national registry certification required.
• ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications required on hire.
• Minimum 2 years paramedic experience in the field or hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical and nursing staff with ED patient care.
• Greet patients and interview; input medical information into the system.
• Perform diagnostics and procedures: EKG, monitor cardiac status, venipuncture, IVs, ISTAT, glucose.
• Support trauma and emergency response as directed by RN/physician.
• Ensure rooms are patient-ready and equipment stocked; follow infection control policies.
