Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Paramedic for the Emergency Department, full-time Evening Shift from 1pm to 1am. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team delivering high-quality, safe patient care under physician and RN direction.

The role emphasizes rapid assessment, diagnostic support, and coordination with EMS. Requires state paramedic license and national registry, plus ACLS/BLS; two years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited paramedic program with clinical hours.
• Two years of paramedic experience in the field or hospital preferred.
• Georgia paramedic license and National Registry certification required.
• ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications as applicable are required upon hire.

Responsabilités

• Assists medical and nursing staff with Emergency patients care.
• Assists in intake by greeting patients and inputting medical data.
• Performs diagnostic testing and procedures: EKG, monitor, venipuncture, point-of-care tests, wound care, splints/casts.
• Functions delegated by RN: IV initiation, medications, glucose monitoring, ISTAT.
• Transport and monitor patients to ICU; support patient flow in ED.
• Assist with education of patient and family; respond to Trauma Alert and STEMI alerts.
• Ensure rooms are patient-ready; stock and clean rooms per infection control policies.
• Receive EMS patients into ED and collect data for initial triage; comply with policies.
