Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital is seeking a dedicated Paramedic for the Emergency Department, nights, to join an interdisciplinary team providing high-quality patient care.

The role requires completion of an accredited paramedic program, Georgia paramedic license, and 2+ years of field or hospital experience. You will support ED treatment, manage data collection, and assist with diverse life-saving procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited paramedic program with clinical hours.
• Must hold a Georgia paramedic license and national registry certification.
• Strong communication and computer skills to input data and support care.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical and nursing staff with ED patient care.
• Greet patients and collect medical information for intake.
• Perform and assist with diagnostics: EKG, cardiac monitoring, venipuncture, point-of-care testing, wound care.
• Initiate IVs, administer medications (oral/IM and some IV), monitor glucose, ISTAT testing.
• Transport patients to ICU and monitor critically ill patients.
• Support patient flow and ED operations; respond to trauma and code alerts.
