Endeavor Health’s Emergency Department Transition to Practice program at Edward Hospital in Naperville offers structured education, clinical support, and hands-on learning designed to grow your emergency nursing skills. This full-time night-shift role supports a fast-paced ED environment and aligns with your professional development goals.

Licensed RNs with an Associate degree or higher are eligible, with BSN completion required within five years if the ADN is the highest degree.

Qualifications

• Current professional nursing licensure in Illinois required.
• An Associate degree or higher in Nursing; if ADN holder, must graduate with a BSN within five years of start date.
• CPR/BLS certification required by American Heart Association.
• ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications may be completed during the Transition Program and required within three months of start date.
• One year of acute care nursing experience required; ED experience 6–9 months is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Use critical thinking and clinical judgment to assess patients, recognize changes in condition, and prioritize care.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and accurately document assessments, interventions, and relevant clinical observations.
• Respond effectively to changing patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Appropriately delegate tasks while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on patient safety, quality, and exceptional care.
