Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a Manager of the Emergency Department to lead day-to-day ED operations and coordinate care. The role requires supervising ED staff and collaborating with physicians, hospital teams, and external partners to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualified candidates hold an RN license, BSN, and current BLS, PALS, and ACLS credentials with at least two years of supervisory experience in acute care. CEN preferred; NRP needed for some facilities.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license required.
• BLS required upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum two years supervisory/management experience.
• CEN preferred.
• PALS and ACLS required upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum three years of clinical experience in acute care.
• BSN required for all hires after 1/11/2021.
• NRP certificate within 30 days for non-OB facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management and coordination of ED activities.
• Supervise and monitor performance of ED staff.
• Interact with physicians, hospital staff, outside agencies, patients and families to ensure comprehensive care.
